But really until he figures out that he can relax at the shows it doesn't matter. We get slammed on movements and collectives for the tension (rightfully so) and while getting a ribbon is fun I would rather school him and teach him something than let him run around like the caffeinated deer he is.EventingSaddlebredStylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07610596082916022402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4318842770364105067.post-48913106574935280012017-04-03T12:04:36.563-05:002017-04-03T12:04:36.563-05:00I made S pick it up for me because I felt ridiculo...I made S pick it up for me because I felt ridiculous going in there as an adult and asking for my participation ribbon 😂EventingSaddlebredStylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07610596082916022402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4318842770364105067.post-12571402984614326432017-04-03T12:03:45.944-05:002017-04-03T12:03:45.944-05:00Yeah, there were definitely some stressful periods...Yeah, there were definitely some stressful periods but I'm just glad everything is ok now.EventingSaddlebredStylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07610596082916022402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4318842770364105067.post-37355067455431748642017-04-03T12:02:36.390-05:002017-04-03T12:02:36.390-05:00It was really hard for me to knowingly put errors ...It was really hard for me to knowingly put errors in there. I was mentally thinking, "Man a 10m circle would really help him. But it will be an error. But the points have already been blown on this movement what difference does it make? It doesn't matter just do it. Oh god please realize this is intentional and don't blow the whistle on me." 😂EventingSaddlebredStylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07610596082916022402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4318842770364105067.post-1389108800314703022017-04-03T11:57:29.029-05:002017-04-03T11:57:29.029-05:00Thanks! I figure if I start teaching him that it's no big deal now, when we actually are ready to show it won't be a big deal. I'll be used to it and he will be too.EventingSaddlebredStylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07610596082916022402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4318842770364105067.post-8021676801903614392017-04-03T11:35:30.620-05:002017-04-03T11:35:30.620-05:00Yay progress! Plus it's just 2 points each (though I know that's a much bigger hit at Intro A than a higher level test!)Codex Dressagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04736021620789376995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4318842770364105067.post-22739781334321345942017-04-03T10:57:43.913-05:002017-04-03T10:57:43.913-05:00Ditto to thehorsedream! that sounds like some seri...Ditto to thehorsedream! that sounds like some seriously rotten luck. Irish got very tense at shows and my warm up became a lot of walking and stretching until he relaxed. It took longer and people thought I was crazy for not practicing the 'moves' but honestly it worked much better for him. TeresaAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05311118900077951863noreply@blogger.com
